"When someone you know starts acting not nice, down in the dumps and maybe tears in their eyes, stop for a second and maybe think twice, is there something wrong? a chat would be nice."

It doesn't matter who you are, what you are, where you live or the size of your car.
It doesn't matter if you have lots of money, you're down in the dumps or always funny.
A handsome husband or a beautiful wife, lovely holidays and enjoying life.
You have perfect children or so you think, they may have it to maybe they're on the brink.
On the outside you look so good, smiling and happy like you should.
With a smile on your face putting up a front but deep inside it's all a stunt.
I'd describe it as an heavy cloud hanging over your head why would it matter if I was alive or dead?
Nobody knows how you feel inside you couldn't care less if you lived or died.
If they only knew what you were going through, maybe they are going through it to.
You think you need help but to afraid to ask, ashamed, embarrassed you don't need that.
In a room full of people but you're the only one there, nobody knows  don't suppose they care .
You feel so lonely you feel so sad, ending it now wouldn't be so bad.
It can effect us all poor or rich this thing Mental Health makes life a bitch.
When someone you know starts acting not nice, down in the dumps and maybe tears in their eyes, stop for a second and maybe think twice, is there something wrong? a chat would be nice.
Show them you're there show them you care.
A little understanding goes a long way, you may need that chat yourself one day.

“Mental health does not discriminate, so why should we?”

"There is stigma by the older generation and an attitude to just ‘get on with it’ – which may have delayed the time for me to seek help."

“I want to be a catalyst for change wherever I can”

“Being vulnerable and looking to learn something new to help your physical and mental wellbeing is a major strength. It’s difficult, which is why it can be scary. It’s so worth it, though!”
