The Welsh Government has announced additional funding for Time to Change Wales for another six months campaigning.

The new funding of £67,500 is in addition to £427,000 already spent on the campaign by the Welsh Government since 2011. The campaign in Wales is also funded by Big Lottery and Comic Relief.

Time to Change Wales Programme Manager Ant Metcalfe said:

“We’re grateful to receive this additional six months funding from the Welsh Government, this funding alongside Big Lottery and Comic Relief will enable us to build on the momentum we’ve achieved over the past two years and help us to continue to reduce mental health stigma and discrimination in Wales, a key aim of the Welsh Government’s mental health strategy, Together for Mental Health.”

Welsh Government Health Minister Dr Mark Drakeford said:

“Improving the mental health of people living in Wales is one of the key themes in our Programme for Government.

“I am therefore pleased to announce additional funding for the Time to Change Wales campaign which aims to reduce the inequalities, stigma and discrimination suffered by people experiencing mental health problems and mental illness.”
